Post: Fundraising Administrator
Location: Exchequer Street, Dublin 2
Reports to: Fundraising Manager
Works with: Head of Development, Fundraising Manager, Fundraising Executive
Job purpose: To proactively provide administrative support to the Fundraising Department. To accurately manage/ collate data and report using Raiser’s Edge database.
Terms: 6 month temporary contract
Fundraising Administrator - Job Description
In consultation with the Fundraising Manager and Fundraising Team the Fundraising Administrator will undertake the following activities:
- Database Management: Maintain accurate donor database system (Raisers Edge) on a daily basis ensuring that all donations are recorded and categorised i.e. cash, cheque, credit card etc. Provide weekly and monthly reports
- Update standing order database ensuring that funds are received on a monthly basis through reconciliation with bank transactions. Update and maintain files and develop reports.
- Banking: Bank lodgements and reconciliations with admin department as appropriate
- Receipts/acknowledgements: Receipting/acknowledging of all donations
- Post: Stamping outgoing post and delivery to the post office daily.
- Filing: Daily filing of donations and other documents relating to the Fundraising Department
- Information Requests: Manage all communication/ information requests in relation to fundraising and keep comprehensive account of same.
- Supplies: Monitor department supplies and arranging purchase orders
- Department Liaison: Liaise with other departments and work as part of a team within the National Office.
- Local Simon Community Liaison: Liaise with other Simon Communities regarding donations and queries and ensure that all information provided to them is accurate and comprehensive. Adhere to all policies, procedures, standards and duties with regard to this position and the organisation, as and when required.
- Carry out any other appropriate work as requested by your Manager.
Key Skills
- Strong numeracy skills

- Good knowledge of databases ideally Raisers Edge. Ability to develop and run accurate reports and to extract and manipulate information
- Strong PC skills especially strong knowledge of Microsoft office Excel,Word and mail merge

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of legal aspects of fundraising
Experience:
- At least 6 months fundraising administrative experience
- Experience of dealing with a broad range of stakeholders and supporters
- Proven track record in Raisers Edge and Excel data management and reporting
Qualifications:
- Preferably Third Level Degree in a related field.
