As the homelessness crisis continues, the Simon Communities experienced another challenging year in 2013 with rising demand and decreasing resources. We struggled to do more with less, continuing to work with people experiencing homelessness and those at risk. We continue to look for ways to ensure that we deliver effectively and efficiently on our commitments to those who turn to Simon services around the country, our Communities, our funders and our supporters. In 2013, over 6,000 people turned to the Simon Communities at a very vulnerable time in their lives, highlighting the need for the range of high quality services that we provide. In addition to a wide range of other services we provided accommodation and support to 1,182 people in emergency accommodation
